Severin Hallauer is a Swiss artist. Born in 1996 in Basel, he is based in Zurich. He uses various media in his artistic researches of the human thinking, feeling and acting.
After completing the Foundation in Art and Design at the Basel School of Art and Design in 2014, Severin Hallauer worked as an actor in various productions at the Theater Basel.
In 2015 he began his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Zurich University of the Arts in Switzerland. In 2018 he completed a semester abroad at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart in the Jankowski-Klasse.
He has shown performances in the 'Hiddenbar' of ArtBasel, as well as at the Kunsthalle Bern, several times at the 'ACT Performance Festival' in Basel, Geneva and Zurich, and on 'Kunstfreitag' at the Kunstverein Friedrichshafen (DE), in addition to many smaller art spaces.
In collaboration with Fiona Schreier he developed several plays and performed at the 'Theater in allen Räumen' at the Gessnerallee in Zurich.
He was invited to the 'Academiae - Youth Art Biennial 2018' in Fortezza (IT), exhibited at the Solothurn Film Festival 2017 and was special guest of the 'Gasträume 2019' public art program of the city of Zurich.
He appeared in "The Divine Comedy" by Rirkrit Tiravanija at the Beyeler Museum Gala 2018 in 'Fondation Beyeler'. Hallauer has worked with many artists such as Käthe Kruse (Die Tödliche Doris), Antonia Baehr, Riikka Taureinen, Simone Aughterlony, Georgia Sagri, Christian Jankovski, Tanja Ostojić etc.
As an actor, dancer and performer he appears in theater and film.
