mentor, creativity coach, style consultant

How would you explain to a child what your job involves?

Imagine you want to cook something nice for the grown-ups and need some advice. You think I am a good cook and ask me if I would like to help you with your project. We will brainstorm ideas and draw up a plan, which you will carry out as independently as possible.

You go to the market and buy vegetables, spices, a fish, cheese and fruit.

In the kitchen, you prepare the vegetables, chop the herbs and brush the fish with lemon oil. You sprinkle a little salt over it and place a sprig of tarragon inside the belly. You are not sure, so you ask how long you should leave the fish in the oven and whether you should roast the vegetables or boil them. On my advice, you pop it in the oven.

Once you have arranged the cheese on a nice platter and garnished it with halved walnuts and a small pot of truffle honey, it is time to prepare the dessert: the mango crème. As I advised, you have picked up a tin of mango pulp, a lime and some cream from the Indian shop. Whip the cream (half the amount of mango) and fold it into the pulp using a spatula. Add the lime juice and, for your aunt, a dash of Grand Marnier – and you are done.

Now you have cooked a meal all by yourself, learnt from my tips and made great strides in your cooking.

As a student, I explored the phases of a process-oriented design project. As a mentor and style consultant, I guide and advise on such processes as a specialist.
