Video Specialist/Technician/Editor 50 – 100%
Atelier Rist is looking for an innovative, friendly, self-motivated, independently working, open-minded and experienced Video Specialist/Technician/Editor 50 – 100% to support the artist Pipilotti Rist and her small team in the creation and site-specific adaption of her old and new audio-video-installations and exhibitions.
*RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE but are not limited:*
Support the artist and her team in
• creating (shooting & editing) and adapting of the video works
• handling and adapting all incoming/outgoing digital, video, sound, and documentation files
• managing video inventory databases
• planning (allocating technique), installing and pixel-mapping on sites
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
• Expertise in non-linear editing platforms like FinalCutX (sic) and others off and online
• Knowledge of motion graphics authoring software (Motion by Apple (sic) & After Effects) or
willingness to learn
• knowledge of 2D and 3D animation software welcome
• Excellent knowledge skills of transcoding & compression codecs
• Feel and love for projectors, players and cables
• Eager to keep up with new trends in the industry (video formats & codecs, new media
innovations, hardware & software technologies, etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) in English, German (must),
French, Spanish, Japanese (welcome)
• Ability to self-manage and organise workloads around tight deadlines while being a team player
with transparent communication and documentation (eg. manuals)
• Positive attitude, strong level of professionalism and reliability
• Hands-on attitude
